The Allen-Bradley 1444-RELX00-04RB is a Relay Expansion Module from Rockwell Automation’s Dynamix™ 1444 Series, designed to extend alarm and protection capabilities in machine condition monitoring systems.

The 1444-RELX00-04RB provides four Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) relay outputs and is used in conjunction with the 1444-DYN04-01RA Dynamic Measurement Module. Up to three relay expansion modules can be connected to a single dynamic measurement module, allowing scalable alarm, warning, and trip outputs based on vibration, speed, or other dynamic measurements.

This module requires the 1444-TB-B terminal base and the 1444-REL-RPC- connector set. It is commonly deployed in critical rotating equipment applications where hardwired alarm or shutdown signals are required.

Functional Description

The 1444-RELX00-04RB converts condition monitoring data into physical relay outputs for machine protection and plant control systems. Each relay can be independently configured to respond to specific alarm levels or diagnostic conditions generated by the associated Dynamix 1444 measurement module.

Relay outputs can be wired directly to shutdown circuits, annunciators, or safety interlocks, enabling fast local response without reliance on network communications. This makes the module particularly suitable for high-value or high-risk assets.
