The Allen-Bradley 1734-AENTR/B is a second-generation EtherNet/IP redundant network adapter from Rockwell Automation’s POINT I/O (Bulletin 1734) product family. It serves as the communication interface between distributed POINT I/O modules and a controller over an EtherNet/IP network. With built-in Device Level Ring (DLR) capability, the module ensures high network availability and rapid fault recovery in the event of a communication break.

Compared with the earlier 1734-AENTR/A revision, the 1734-AENTR/B offers improved processing performance, enhanced firmware stability, and more advanced diagnostics, making it better suited for modern high-speed and redundant industrial Ethernet architectures. A single adapter supports up to 63 POINT I/O modules, enabling flexible and scalable distributed I/O configurations.
