Overview

The Foxboro P0926HC is a modular horizontal baseplate engineered for Foxboro I/A Series and Evo™ distributed control systems. It serves as the physical and electrical mounting platform for Fieldbus Modules (FBMs), forming a critical part of the system’s I/O infrastructure.

Designed to integrate with FCP270 field control processors and associated Fieldbus Interface Equipment (FIE), this baseplate enables secure FBM installation while maintaining reliable power and signal continuity.

System Role and Architecture

The P0926HC provides two horizontally aligned FBM slots, allowing redundant or paired module configurations to be deployed within a single baseplate. This architecture supports continuous operation by allowing one FBM to remain active if the paired module is removed or replaced.

The baseplate manages internal power distribution, backplane communication paths, and signal routing between FBMs and the control network, without performing any signal processing itself.
