Overview
The ABB TU833 is a versatile I/O Module Terminal Unit (MTU) designed for the S800 I/O system within ABB’s 800xA distributed control platform.
It supports up to 16 I/O channels, each equipped with two I/O connections and one ZP shield connection.
The module includes two isolated process voltage groups, each protected by a 6.3 A fuse, supporting up to 50 V and 2 A per channel.
The TU833 distributes the ModuleBus to the connected I/O module and passes it to the next MTU.
It also generates the correct address for each module by shifting outgoing position signals to the next MTU.
The MTU is DIN rail mountable and features a mechanical latch for secure installation.
